Fees and Location

Fees

I understand that starting therapy can seem a daunting process.

I offer a free 20 minute initial phone or video consultation so you can ask questions and we can see if we might work together well.

Fee: £85 per 50-minute session.

Setting: Online, telephone, and face-to-face.

Payment: Payable 48 hours in advance. First session payment due at time of booking.

I maintain a 48-hour cancellation policy. Full cancellation and payment policy details will be set out in your client agreement.

Health Insurance

I am a registered provider with AXA and WPA. If you intend to use your private health insurance, please mention this when you first get in touch.

Location

I work with clients remotely across the UK and internationally, as well as in person from my private therapy space.

In-Person

I practice from my own therapy space in Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire. Working from a private space allows us to meet in a quiet, confidential, and comfortable environment.

Full directions and parking details will be provided once your initial session is confirmed.

Online & Telephone

I am an experienced online therapist. This provides flexibility and allows us to work together effectively regardless of your location.

Hybrid

I also offer a hybrid or blended approach, where we agree, as suits you best, whether to have an in-person session

International

I welcome enquiries from clients outside of the UK. However, please note that there are some countries I am unable to work with due to jurisdictional and insurance limitations. Please check with me to confirm if I can offer therapy in your location.

All sessions, whether online or in person, take place in my peaceful and relaxing therapy room in Rickmansworth, which is a ten minute walk from Rickmansworth Metropolitan Line and Chiltern Railway station and a five minute car journey from junction 18 of the M25.

The practice is within easy reach of Chorleywood, Amersham, Croxley Green, Watford and Northwood.

Online Counselling and Telephone Therapy

What is online counselling and how does it differ from face-to-face?

Terms like online counselling/therapy, teletherapy and telemental health are interchangeable. Online and telephone therapy differ from face-to-face counselling and there are a number of matters to consider. There are potential benefits to online therapy such as appointments are easier to schedule than traditional face-to-face sessions, and there is no travel time involved.

Clients often prefer online therapy, even those who live locally, and alternatively, they have the freedom each week to decide whether to come in person, or to work together online.

Online sessions allow us to work together all over the UK and internationally. I have extensive experience of working with English-speaking clients living internationally. Please check with me as to whether I can work with you as there are a number of countries I am unable to work with due to the local licensing laws.

There are also significant differences with online/telephone therapy. These include limited visual cues with video calling, and a complete lack of visual cues with telephone or messaging. This is not to say it is any less valuable or therapeutic, as other dynamics come into play, it just is a different experience. You will need a private and quiet space with a good phone signal and wifi. I work with a number of different platforms. Please contact me to discuss what will work best for you.

After each session, you should ensure you close/delete all pages that relate to our session to maintain your privacy. Consider giving yourself some space after the session, since, when online sessions end, you are immediately in your environment with no transition time to your everyday routine. Further details will be provided to you when you contact me.

Please also review my privacy policy.
